Have you ever wondered why it’s not OK to eat junk food?
You’ll maybe say it’s because of the chemicals, dyes, and preservatives. If that helps you stay away from them, it’s perfect.
For example, it is clinically proven that smoking is in direct causality relationship with the onset of cancer.
But if the reason you’re not smoking is because you hate having yellow teeth and you hate your clothes smelling like cigarette smoke, then it’s perfect.
All that matters is that you don’t smoke.
Remember this: never start smoking: you’ll thank me in 20 years.
✅ YOU ARE IN CONTROL
But you know what seems to me the most relevant aspect related to junk food? Here it is: 100 grams of nachos (without the sauce) amount to 500 calories.
A 100-gram bar of chocolate amounts to 500 calories as well? But you know what the problem is?
After 100 grams of chocolate, it’s highly probable that you’ll stop eating.
After 100 grams of nachos, you’re just getting started. Let’s face it.
You say you’re in control, that you can stop at any time.
Let’s take a look at this ad.
You’re not in control AT ALL. If you would have been, you wouldn’t become tens of kilograms overweight.
But you go on: keep eating junk and follow specialist advice on practicing moderation.
✅ I EXAGGERATE
Or you can go have your stomach cut just so you can then eat the same junk that has made you fat in the first place – just smaller quantities.

When you eat the same food that has gotten you fat in the first place, when you refuse to walk for at least one hour a day, when you won’t change your lifestyle: what do you think will happen?
Studies show there is an 80% probability that you’ll be obese for your entire life – even after bariatric surgery.
I have worked for 6 years in the risk management area, I have international certifications as well as experience in implementing big, billion-dollar projects in Saudi Arabia.
You know what 80% probability means? A very high degree of confidence.
When something has a high probability, it almost becomes certitude.
They say I exaggerate, that I am a tyrant, that I propose impractical solutions.
“But Valentin, why shouldn’t I have the snack drawer for the children? I’ll give him a small bite every day”.
I even ranted on Romanian TV about this.
But yet I am the one exaggerating if I propose to stop buying junk food. Other people think it’s OK to have a perfectly healthy organ cut via surgery. Right.
I’m not saying it’s not the only solution for some. What I am saying is that normalizing getting this surgery done is the problem.
Dare to believe: more and more children want a specific gift from their parents – money to have bariatric surgery done.
I didn’t dream about this. I hear stories like this from people I work with. Every day.
This is not me just babbling. My plan is to get some sponsors and organize free events for parents, grandparents and children within the next 12 months.
✅ REALITY
I don’t think I am exaggerating when I say this is highly probable.
Without even realizing, you’ll have at least 200 grams of nachos (1000 calories) with your friends one evening.
Or just 100g of nachos, 50g of caju and a glass of wine (again 1000 calories).
As a reference: 1 kg of fat is about 8000 calories.
Oh, you have no idea how easy it is to get fat, even without food excess.
✅ DECENT
Let’s say you have the perfect diet and one evening per week you eat 1000 calories extra by snacking (without even realizing).
50 weeks x 1000 calories = 50000 calories
1 kilo of human fat = 8000 calories
This is how you can gain 6 kg in one year.
This is how you gain 30 kg in 5 years.
And all of this with no excess. Without even realizing. By having an absolutely decent diet.
✅ WHY IT IS A PROBLEM
If you live in the city and you are mostly static – like most people – then you have a problem. Do you know why?
In order to burn 1000 calories through motion, you’d have to walk for 5 hours.
Yes, ladies, one hour of walking at a normal pace will burn 200 calories.
Think of it like walking for one hour every day just to burn a measly portion of nachos.
Do you believe me when I tell you that 2 hot pretzels amount to 800 calories? That’s the equivalent of walking for 4 hours.

✅ NIBBLING
Like most people, you’ll nibble on a little something once in a while. It could be a 50-gram chocolate bar today, a pretzel tomorrow, 100 grams of nachos tomorrow, a glass of wine the day after that.
Without realizing, you can eat 200 calories extra every day – in addition to eating perfectly clean, healthy and nutritious food.
If you multiply 200 calories by 250 days, you’ll gain 50000 calories per year = 6 extra kilos.
Let’s take for example 2 small jars of protein pudding a day = 300 calories. If you have them every day and you’re not losing weight – here is your answer.
✅ I’VE PUT MY KIDS TO BED
It’s the classic “I’ve put my kids to bed, let’s relax a bit”. What this means for most people is a 200-300 calorie snack while watching an episode of something.
We go to bed at 8.30 PM and before the clock turns 9 PM everyone is asleep. I’m writing these lines at 6:06 AM and I’ve been writing for almost 2 hours already.
Ladies, a glass of wine every evening (5 days per week) = 1000 calories. Which amounts to 6 extra kilograms gained in one year.
But who am I to judge? Before putting the kids to bed, I chow down half a kilogram of Skyr with some sweetener (300 calories).
It’s the same type of behavior, but with a small difference: my Skyr contains 55 grams of protein, while your glass only contains ethyl alcohol.
There are plenty of studies showing that the calories in alcohol are transformed entirely into fat by the liver – and they are then deposited in your organs, in the abdominal cavity and on your belly.
That ugly belly fat will not go away by hitting the gym or having a special diet. The solution is to put the glass down.
✅ ALCOHOL CAUSES CANCER
Alcohol is real toxin that the WHO has classified as a class 1 carcinogenic element – next to plutonium, uranium and tobacco.
Moreover, the WHO stated on the 4th of January 2023 that there is NO quantity of alcohol that is safe for consumption and doesn’t affect health.
“We cannot speak of a so-called safe level of alcohol consumption. It doesn’t matter how much you drink – the risk for the drinker’s health begins from the first drop of any ingested alcoholic beverage”.

✅ A CALORIE IS A CALORIE
If you’ll eat 200 extra calories a day, you’ll gain just as much fat as ingesting 200 calories from alcohol.
What you eat matters in terms of where that food gets deposited. You can be a little plump and still be super attractive.
You want to get rid of that belly fat? Put that glass down.
✅ THE SECRET OF INDEPENDENT WOMEN
I have the privilege of having worked 1:1 with thousands of people in the last 10 years. I had thousands of meetings. I heard hundreds of stories.
But if I can tell you something certain from this experience. The secret is…
A woman who drinks a glass of wine per evening will never lose weight, no matter what type of diet she has or how much she exercises.
Read that again. It’s your decision if you want to listen to what I have to say.
„But Valentin, I did lose weight by having a glass of wine in the evening”
Of course – that’s because you starved yourself. And I also know that after you stopped starving yourself you gained weight.
You know what happens when you starve yourself? You become malnourished and that only helps with premature aging.
But what do I know? I have been told many times that I can’t have an opinion on the diets of premenopausal women because I don’t menstruate.

✅ ABOUT JUNK FOOD
What I wanted to say is that…
It’s not good to eat junk food because they amount to lots and lots of calories per 100 grams and they are designed in order for you to need a lot of conscious effort to stop eating.
As a consequence, I never buy this type of products, and I never have them in my house. I don’t keep “cocaine” in the house. That’s only logical.
This approach helps me maintain my weight effortlessly. This also helps my kids maintain a healthy relationship with food, not to mention a normal weight.

✅ TO CONCLUDE, AN EXAMPLE
After eating 1 kilogram of apples, you can hardly breathe anymore. After 100 grams of wafers, you’re just getting started.
A child will eat 1 kilogram of apples in a week, but that same kid will eat 100 grams of wafers in a few minutes.
I think it’s pretty difficult to gain weight by eating real food. It’s practically impossible NOT to gain weight if you eat junk food.
