You know me, I like to bust myths and stir the controversy. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any controversial information on raspberries. I really have nothing to cling on.

Although I eat apples every day, my favorite fruits are forest fruits: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries.

I love raspberries. I could eat them by the kilos.

Well, if I am to think about it, I’d would also like to eat peanuts, seeds and nuts by the kilogram.

But I don’t eat oleaginous plants. Nor cheese, although I LOVE IT.

Even during their peak season, these fruits can be very expensive if you buy them in the supermarket.

Not all of us have access to a garden full of raspberries and strawberries and not all of us have the time or mood to go to the market to get fruit. There is also another problem.

I have lost my trust in farmers at the bazaar markets after having heard all sorts of stories about how they use chemicals freely to wet their crops.

As a consequence, for the past 7 years, I’ve been buying my fruits and vegetables from the supermarket.

✅ LOW CALORIE, BABY

I like my line of work for many reasons. One of them being – I learn something new every day.

I assume you know that forest fruits have a lower sugar quantity than the rest of the fruits. That’s no big secret.

  • Meaning it makes no sense for you to eat bananas when you can have 3 times more strawberries within that calorie budget.

  • For example, bananas have 4x more sugar than raspberries, strawberries or blackberries.

  • I haven’t had a banana for 10 years (probably). I don’t see why I would eat that much sugar when I can eat 2 times more apples for those same calories.

The queen of fruits from a calorie standpoint is the strawberry.

On Strawberries

I believe strawberries are the perfect fruits. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t love eating strawberries. Kids simply adore them. If you’re a follower of this page, then you already know the criteria a “diet” must meet in order for it to be beneficial:

100 grams of OREO = 1 kilogram of raspberries = 500 calories

After having eaten my lunch, I had 1 kilo of raspberries and…

The satiety effect came fast and in a brutal manner.

Meanin I still have 1 more kilo of raspberries in my fridge but I don’t even want to look at it (for the moment). That’s how full I am.

We both know what happens when you put an Oreo cookie in your mouth.

OREO is the perfect combination for limitless consumption:

  • it’s crunchy (cookie)

  • it’s soft (cream)

  • it contains sugar, fats and salt

  • it has a contrasting color scheme (white and black).

You will eat 100 grams of OREO and you will awake the hunger monster.

A child can probably eat 9 OREO cookies in 2 minutes, but it will take the same child 3 days to eat 1 kilo of raspberries.

Or they’ll eat half a kilo of raspberries today and they won’t want to hear about them the next day.

I have nothing against OREO cookies.

Recently, I just had one for the second time in my life.

What I wanted to say is that the majority of junk food products have, on average, 500 calories per 100 grams.

I don’t think it’s OK for anyone to eat junk food.

Back to the raspberries

Forest fruits do contain some minerals and vitamins, but nothing out of the ordinary.

In order for a good comparison to be possible, I needed to measure by the kilogram.

For a good comparison, I also added 1 kilo of eggs in there.

Isn’t it very interesting that 1 kilo of eggs has far larger quantities of minerals and vitamins?

However, I kept the most spectacular aspect of raspberries for the elite members.

If you want to know what that is, press the “Upgrade to paid” button below. It takes a few seconds. You only have to click twice and it’s 20 Eurocents / day.
