Lose 15 kg in 10 Weeks
Will you take the fast train to a summer body? Or the fast train to regret?
Remember what you said in December? That you would start losing weight in January.
In March and in April you said you’ll start after the Easter break.
There are maximum 10 weeks left until your vacation.
Catch the last train. Lose up to 15 kg in 10 weeks.
Until we get to the solution part, I’d like to tell you a few things about me so you can better understand what comes next.
Ever since I was a child and used to say I would go on a diet on a specific day, I kept my promises.
What I hate most in this world: lying to myself and disappointing my own self.
I’ll let others disappoint me. They’re doing a great job at it.
Every time I set myself an objective and I don’t achieve it, I get that nasty feeling of “I could have done it, but I didn’t”.
I despise the sour taste of regret so much that I’d rather step out of my comfort zone.
I’d rather be in temporary pain because of my actions rather than feel the prolonged bad taste of regret.
In my case at least, nothing lowers my self esteem more abruptly than not keeping the promises I made to myself.
If you said you will go on a diet and start exercising, then step up and act.
You keep boasting left and right about going on a diet and yet you keep doing nothing. And you’ve been doing it for years. So much and so often that no one believes you anymore.
You don’t even believe it yourself anymore.
You’re the only one responsible for what is missing in your life. No one else.
The sooner you understand this, the faster you’ll get closer to your objectives.
The first reason why people fail is that they don’t have a plan.
When you say you‘ll start dieting and exercising after Easter, what exactly did you have in mind?
What will you eat? What type of exercise will you do? Do you have a gym subscription? Do you have time to go to the gym?
Most people, after 10 vacation days, will go right back to work.
After 10 days of barbecues, alcohol, sweets and cake, lots of food, lots of tired bodies. Most people will go back to work even more tired and even more bloated than before their vacation.
After 10 days of feasts, you can bet the scale will show a big weight gain. How did you feel when you weighed yourself after your vacation?
You probably can’t even stand the sight of your scale.
If you’ll say you’ll start tomorrow, you know very well you’re simply lying to yourself.
When you’ll come back from work, tired and in a bad mood, you’ll get right into your leftovers: sweets, fatty foods, whatever is left in the fridge.
You’ll say it’s wasteful to throw food away.
Sweets, crisps and pastries are not food. They are fun, not food.
You have a lot of that left over because you bought a lot of stuff for Easter. Or a lot of stuff after your vacation.
Soups, steaks with vegetables, eggs – this is actual food.
Being overweight or obese is a nightmare. I’ve been either one or the other for my entire life.
On the other hand, it can be traumatic simply thinking of getting yourself out of the pit, let alone actually doing it.
If you are in the least bit like me, then I am sure you’re not complacent about being overweight.
You will have to do it sometime. If not now, you will resign to the fact you didn’t lose weight and you’ll let summer pass before you begin.
Perhaps that moment will be in the autumn, January 2025 or maybe never. Who knows?
Believe me when I tell you I loathe selling weight loss programs.
I can’t stand reading comments like: “But Valentin, but you write all those articles so you can sell your weight loss programs”.
In order to keep my kids in school and put food on the table, that’s what I must do. For the moment.
I’d rather hear: “Valentin, I’ll support your content with a paid subscription because I like what you write about and it helps me learn something new every day”.
I promise I won’t bother you with any more sales messaging until September.
I have set myself a new objective: I decided I won’t sell any weight loss programs starting 2025.
I will include video modules in the article subscription. This will all become a continuous learning platform and for a small fee you will have complete access to everything I do.
But I can only get there with your help. The higher the number of my subscribers, the more I can offer good content.
Do you want to lose 15 kg in 10 weeks?
Of course, if those 15 kilos are what separates you from your ideal weight, then of course it is impossible to achieve that in 10 weeks.
More like 10-15 months. That would be a decent time interval.
I know what you’ll say. That you want to lose weight fast so you can look good on the beach.
Unfortunately, if you are at the last stretch, it’s a bit too late. If you had started last September, it would have been feasible.
BUT. If you are 30-40-50 kilos overweight and you do what I teach you for 10 weeks, it’s very possible that you’ll lose 15 kilos.
And I say this because I’ve seen thousands of similar results in the past decade, thousands of people who lost on average 13-17 kilos in 10-12 weeks.
Of course the first 5-6-7 kilos you’ll lose out of the 15 will simply be water retention, as well as your stomach getting empty.
What I wanted to say is that in 10 weeks you can lose 15 kilos. Half of those will be fat. Half of those you will lose because you’ll “deflate” and lose the retained water.
Either way, it’s 15 kilos lost in 10 weeks.
All I can do now is fuel your enthusiasm to start and keep at it.
Then, as you’ll see the weight melting away, week after week, you’ll fuel the fire of motivation yourself.
You know very well that nothing brings more motivation than weekly progress. Reflected in the size of your clothes, the numbers shown on your scale and your medical test results.
After Easter is a good time to start, with a little bit of enthusiasm and a good plan. In 10 weeks you’ll be thanking yourself for the decision you made today.
Good.
No matter if you choose to upgrade to a paid subscription, here is the official Body Engineering Guide for 2024.
I will end today’s article with a piece of advice.
If you want this to be easy, not to have cravings and not to have to abstain, perform the big clean-up today.
ZERO WILLPOWER
After 14 years of keeping my figure, I strongly believe that the most important thing you can do towards weight loss and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is not to keep anything tempting around the house.
If you want to listen to your Sensei, fine. If not, do what you do best and we’ll talk before New Year’s Eve.
You’ll weigh a few extra kilos. I’ll weigh a few kilos less.
Thank you for your attention.
