It’s very “trendy” nowadays to buy food supplements, it’s like the new fad.
But do you really know what a “supplement” actually is? Do you know if you really need it? Do you know what you should spend your money on?
Do you know what the necessary Omega-3 intake is for a child? Do you know what to buy for your child?
✅ IT’S A FOOD SUPPLEMENT
A drug is different than a food supplement.
A drug comes with chemical substances that, in theory, bring more benefits than side effects.
The human body doesn’t need those substances and it will try to eliminate them from the system as soon as possible.
A supplement comes with minerals, vitamins, protein or Omega-3, substances our body needs in order to function optimally. The body will try to use them fully.
✅ IT’S AN EXTRA
A supplement is something extra. At times, it’s actually necessary. A supplement will not replace foods or food categories, it’s no substitute for proper nutrition.
In practice, you can’t eat junk food and take supplements in the hope you’ll correct inadequate nutrition.
This means a supplement can indeed bring value in the context of a healthy and nutritionally complete diet.
But if you know how and what to eat, then surely you don’t need supplements.
Taking a supplement when your diet consists of junk food is like doing body treatments when you weigh 150 kg…
✅ OMEGA 3
Let’s take Omega-3 as an example. It’s an essential fatty acid.
What essential means is that we need it in order to function properly and our body cannot produce it. Meaning it’s mandatory that we eat it.
For this reason, we recommend to our members to eat a minimum of 200 grams of (fatty) fish every day!

✅ OMEGA-3 REQUIREMENTS
The optimum necessary intakes for adult homo sapiens are as follows:
Women: 1.1 grams
Pregnant and nursing women: 1.4 grams
Men: 1.6 grams
Even children need close to 1 gram of Omega-3 per day.
And for them it’s absolutely crucial because Omega-3 is necessary for neuron network development.
✅ DOPPEL HERZ
You’ll say you don’t really eat fish and you sometimes take a supplement – because you heard it’s good for your heart and lowers your cholesterol.
A very popular supplement in Romania is this one: Omega-3 from Doppel Herz. Says right there on the box: 1000 mg. Practically, we’ll take 2 soft gel capsules a day, and we’re done, right?
Not really. Upon researching the producer’s website, we find out that one Doppelherz® aktiv Omega-3 Extra 1000 mg capsule only contains 180 mg EPA and 120 mg DHA, Omega-3 fatty acids.
In reality, one capsule of the supplement mentioned above only provides 300 mg of Omega-3. The remaining 700 grams = oil.
Last time I checked, one 120-capsule box cost 85 lei (17 EUR).
In order to reach your daily required intake of 1600 mg of Omega-3 you’ll need 5 capsules every day. That will cost you almost 5 lei (1 EUR).
In the PREMIUM area below, I will present to you the supplement I recommend to all my members who don’t eat fish. I will also include the cod liver oil I used to give my children when they were very young.
✅ LET’S TAKE SARDINES AS AN EXAMPLE
Did you know that a 90 gram can of sardines costs 1 EUR as well and it provides 2.3 grams of Omega-3?
Additionally, you’ll also get 22 grams of protein as well as other nutrients. Look at the percentages in the table below – necessary daily intakes for an active male:
And everything you saw in the table comes from a measly can of sardines.
Do you realize that if you are a woman you can just have a can of sardines every 2 days and get all the necessary Omega-3 intake?
If you don’t like sardines, you can go for salmon, mackerel, herring, anchovies – they have a similar nutritional profile.
✅ THE SUPPLEMENT
What the supplement does is exactly that: it will supplement whatever you can’t or won’t eat. Have you ever thought that you are throwing money out the window?
Press Upgrade to Paid and I will reveal to you the supplement I’ve been recommending to adults for 10 years. It’s adequate for people who don’t eat fish. I will also show you the cod liver oil product I recommend for babies.
Just so you know: I have been unaffiliated for more than a decade, since I started my company. To this day, I don’t receive any commissions and don’t advertise any product.
