I believe that if you have children, then your number 1 priority is for them to have a normal growth.
Most cases of stunted growth can be found in countries with the lowest meat consumption per capita.
Have a look at the graph below. The correlation is perfectly linear.
“At a global level, over 150 million children under the age of 5 suffer from a stunted growth, with more millions of children experiencing an impaired cognitive development linked to poor nutrition.
This is partly due to insufficient consumption of animal foods that provide multiple bioavailable nutrients lacking in the grain-based diets of the poor.
Animal-based foods have been described by the World Health Organization as the best source of high-quality, nutrient-dense foods for children aged 6 to 23 months.”

✅POVERTY
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the poorest countries in Africa, where meat consumption is the lowest, have the most cases of stunted growth in the 0-5 years old segment.
At the opposite end, countries with the highest meat consumption (USA, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay), experience the lowest number of such cases.
✅ LACK OF EDUCATION
But because of ignorance (lack of information), many parents don’t know what to feed their children.
Many parents / grandparents give their children / grandchildren cheese puffs, cereal (sugar-free or not), cookies, pretzels, bread, potatoes, rice, sweets, sodas.
Because of a lack of knowledge, many parents prioritize empty calories from sugar, flour, oil, salt and margarine over foods that are truly useful for a healthy growth.
In this day and age, I cannot recommend the consumption of meat, fish, eggs, omelets, soups and other main courses containing meat and fish without getting crucified by know-it-all mothers or obsessed vegans.
Do you realize that nowadays there are children who eat more chocolate eggs in a week than chicken eggs? That’s because parents and grandparents are afraid of eggs.
That’s ridiculous and absurd.
I have written here more about how I feed my children eggs every day (and why you should too): CLICK.
